Privacy Policy
The short version. Toolshop4u processes your files and text entirely on your device. We never upload, see, or store the files, images, documents, or text you work with. There are no accounts. The only data that leaves your phone is anonymous usage statistics and crash reports (which you can turn off), and — if we enable ads in the future — the data required to show them.
1. Who we are
Toolshop4u is published by Daxesh Italiya (“we”, “us”, “I”). Contact: daxeshitaliya56@gmail.com.
2. What the app does with your files
Every tool (image compression, PDF merge/split, converters, calculators, formatters, generators, and so on) runs locally in the app using your device's processor. Your files, images, documents, and text:
- are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party by the app;
- are not stored by us — results are saved only where you choose (your device's storage or the app you share to);
- are never included in analytics or crash reports.
Exceptions — tools that by nature need the internet: DNS Lookup, IP Lookup, Whois, Ping, Port Checker, DNS Propagation, SSL Checker, HTTP Header Checker, Currency Converter, and SEO/link checkers that fetch a URL you enter. These send only the domain, IP address, URL, or currency codes you type to public services (for example Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS, RDAP registries, open.er-api.com) to return a result. Nothing is stored by us.
3. Data we collect
| Data | Purpose | Provider | Control |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anonymous usage events (which tool was opened/completed, its category, search result counts, theme/accent choice, app opened) with an app-instance identifier, device model, OS version, country, and app version | Understand which tools are used and improve the app | Google Firebase Analytics | Me ▸ Analytics toggle (off = nothing sent) |
| Crash and error reports (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, the screen the app was on) | Find and fix bugs | Google Firebase Crashlytics | Me ▸ Analytics toggle |
| Remote configuration fetch (a small JSON file the app downloads on launch; your IP address is visible to the host as with any web request) | Turn features such as ads on/off without an update | Our hosting provider | — |
| Recent tools, saved tools, home pins, theme, accent, settings | Personalisation | Stored only on your device | Me ▸ Clear history; uninstalling removes everything |
We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers (unless ads are enabled, see below), or the contents of your files.
4. Advertising (not active at launch)
The app is built to show ads through Google AdMob in the future. Ads are switched off unless we enable them remotely. If and when ads are enabled: Google may collect the advertising ID and device information to serve and measure ads; where required (EEA/UK/Switzerland and certain US states) you will first see a consent dialog (Google UMP) letting you accept or refuse personalised ads. See Google's advertising policies. A future Pro purchase would remove ads.
5. Permissions
- Camera — only when you open the QR or barcode scanner; frames are processed on-device and never stored or sent.
- Files / storage — only to open the file you pick and to save results where you choose (via the system picker/share sheet).
- Internet — for the network tools listed above, analytics/crash reports (if enabled), remote configuration, and future ads.
6. Data retention
Analytics data is retained by Google Firebase for up to 14 months; crash reports for 90 days. Data stored on your device stays until you clear it or uninstall the app. We keep no copies.
7. Third parties
Google LLC (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and, if enabled, AdMob) — Google Privacy Policy. Public network services queried by the network tools, as described in section 2. We do not sell personal data.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal data. Because we hold no account or identifiable data ourselves, the practical controls are: the Analytics toggle in the app, resetting your Google Advertising ID in Android settings, and uninstalling the app. For anything else, contact us at the address above.
10. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
